JOHANNESBURG 2019

Past Event | Johannesburg, 3 March 2019

On 3 March 2019, The SuperKids Trust once again transformed Johannesburg into a space where courage met adrenaline, and where children facing life-limiting illness were given something rare — a moment to simply feel alive. This wasn’t just another event. It was a carefully curated experience designed to interrupt fear, even if only for a few hours.

As the supercars lined up and engines echoed through the day, each child stepped into something bigger than their diagnosis. The speed, the sound, the intensity — it all worked together to create a powerful emotional release that medicine alone cannot provide.

For the SuperKids, every ride became a moment of freedom. A break from routines, from hospital walls, from the constant weight of uncertainty. And in those moments, they weren’t defined by illness — they were defined by joy, excitement, and the pure thrill of being a kid.

Families, too, felt the shift. What they arrived with — stress, exhaustion, emotional strain — softened. What they left with was something far more valuable: connection, renewed strength, and memories that would carry them through the difficult days ahead.

The Johannesburg event on 3 March 2019 stands as another powerful reminder of the SuperKids Trust mission — creating experiences money can’t buy, and moments that outlive the illness.
